with Instantly Scored Essays & Unlimited Usage

New York, NY—(January 9, 2004)—LearningExpress, LLC, the leading provider of online test preparation, basic skills improvement, and career enhancement materials to the library and school markets, today announced an agreement with Measurement Incorporated, the assessment industry's foremost essay scoring company, to provide a unique Writing Improvement Program that combines instant essay scoring with unlimited usage. This breakthrough offering will enable students and adults to improve their writing proficiency through instant diagnostic feedback. The scoring models were developed by Measurement Inc.'s Project Essay Grade (PEG) software, the technology that pioneered computer-based scoring of written essays. LearningExpress's Writing Improvement Program will be available to institutions that subscribe to LearningExpress Library.

During the first quarter of 2004, LearningExpress, LLC, will launch products for the High School, Middle School, Elementary School, and Adult Education markets that will all feature instant essay scoring.
