State Library of Ohio Chooses LearningExpress, LLC to Deliver Online
Learning Platform that will Benefit Millions of Patrons throughout the State

Columbus, OH—(June 15, 2005)—The State Library of Ohio announced today that it will partner with New York-based LearningExpress, LLC, a leading provider of print and online skill-building and test preparation resources to deliver an innovative web-based learning platform with an unparalleled scope of resources to benefit all patrons. Offering interactive courses and practice tests, LearningExpress Library helps students and adults build key skills in math, reading, and writing, while preparing them for a wide range of academic and career licensing exams. Beginning in July, the platform will be available to all of the state's public libraries, K-12 schools, colleges and community colleges, and adult education centers.

The LearningExpress Library platform offers students and adults unlimited, 24/7 access to targeted skill-building courses in math, reading, and writing, as well as hundreds of online interactive practice tests that prepare them for several types of exams including the SAT, ACT, GED, ASVAB, Firefighter, Police Officer, Paramedic, EMT Basic, U.S. Citizenship, Postal Worker, Cosmetology, and Real Estate Agent & Broker. Complete answer explanations accompany each test question response so that patrons understand why a particular answer is correct or incorrect. All practice tests include instant diagnostic score reports that enable patrons to target those skill areas that need the most attention. To help students master the SAT and recently added essay, instant score reports provide immediate feedback on how well they performed in each of five writing skill areas. LearningExpress Library can be accessed from any web-enabled computer in the library, computer lab, office, or home.

"We are very excited about the addition of such a comprehensive and valuable resource to the educational and career development services currently offered by the state of Ohio. We believe that this platform will provide our patrons with a highly effective framework for achieving their post-secondary or vocational goals," said Jane Byrnes

"We are pleased to be able to provide Ohio with a service that will inevitably address a broad spectrum of needs among library patrons throughout the state. Now, all patrons will have free, unlimited access to online practice tests and courses that will help them to improve their skills, and prepare them for success in their careers and lives," said Barry Lippman, President and CEO of LearningExpress, LLC.
